Designed by architect Ken Warriner for Ralph Twitchell, the Lu Andrews Residence is considered one of the very best examples of the Sarasota School of Architecture, and is affectionately known as "the jewel box" for the way light continually changes and re-defines the structure. The home has been featured in numerous international articles, (Metropolitan Home, etc.) and books (Sarasota Modern and The Sarasota School of Architecture, etc.) The location is "west of trail" and prized for its close proximity to downtown Sarasota, the bay front, parks, marina, restaurants, galleries, beaches, St. Armands Circle and the Ringling College of Art and Design.
